well, www.elberethzone.net/index.php?page=dup5&language=en - this link has a program on it allowing you to unpack the .stuff archives EVE online uses, from here, you could take the textures from the game to look at - tho since you can't use their meshes (unknown file format) - I don't know how much help they'll be... But they sure are pretty

I already have a different program capable of unpacking everything, but doing so will prevent this mod from being released.

Fair enough, I know you're working with the authorisation of CCP and wasn't sure if using their own ship models/textures in your mod would be a violation of their EULA. (Oh, and I did find a program that was able to convert the *.tri file format into 3ds - called triexporter - again, tho, I imagine if this violates the EULA you can't use those models, but might be handy as a reference)

Hey Guys, i am new to modding, have done only some small cheap text mods to a number of games, so i want to try something serious... I exell at Photoshop, but further than that i do not know other programs...However, i learn at a F*** crazy rate, so learning something new will not be a problem....Throw anything at me guys, and i wiill learn, and work like crazy =D dont ask me for animation tho, i have absoutley NO XPERIANCE...but texturing and Descriptions, and some of the other 'tedious' work, i am willing....I request one thing...When you give me a task, give me a small descrip. on how to do it, and point me in the right direction...otherwise, i am able to work...

Give us an example of your work and we'll decide if you have the talent necessary for the job. It's a very large workload, we're already backlogged with several ships in the pipe and not a single pixel worth of custom texturing on most of them.
The problem isn't technical ability (I have several years of experience with 3D modelling, Photoshop, etc...) It's an issue of creativity, having the ability to improvise and create details from scratch. That's why I generally stick to programming, scripting, importing & rigging models, etc... I haven't developed my visual artistic abilities sufficiently (yet.)

The work being done so far here is excellent Ive been thinking of doing an Eve online mod for some time now, and have had a few discussions about this with my corporation. Guess you guys beat me to it. Im glad you did. I like your ship list's, and the way you are doing things here. For those that do not know me I used to mod for the Star Trek Homeworld mod team (Trekmods). I have worked on the Sacrifice of Angels mod, and founded the Innocence, and Wrath mod. Those mods are now long dead, and Ive been out of that scene for quite some time now, and modding hw2 was out of the question for me because of the maya issue (i dont have it, dont know how to use it, or do i have time to learn how). Since that time ive been mainly making models for Starfleet Command. Its been some time since ive made a model, and am looking to get back into the mod scene. I offer my services to the Eve to HW2 team. Both as a modeller, and a texturer. I use 3dsmax5, and photoshop 7 for texturing. I want to do this because i happen to play Eve online quite often. Ive been in game almost a year now. My Eve character is also called TheStressPuppy. Here are some samples of my work on Starfleet Command models Both of these models were meshed and textured by myself. If you want more examples search "TheStressPuppy" on www.battleclinic.com/docks/dock.phpIf i have plenty of reference i belive i can make an awsome Scorpion, and Raven I got a thing for Caldari ships. Especially the Caracal. Just remember after the Kali patch some of the ships were remeshed and retextured by ccp, and they have been changed a little in appearance (not much but noticable especially the scorpion). Actually all ships are being modified post-Kali. The reason for this is the improved renderer, which finally supports more advanced shaders, higher resolution textures, normal mapping (I believe, don't quote me on it) etc...
We'd love to have you aboard, I'll see if I can get you some good reference shots for the Scorp/Raven/Caracal.
